The value of LCM of \frac{5}{12} \ and\ \frac{6}{17}  is 30.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Fractions \frac{5}{12} \ and\ \frac{6}{17}.

To Find:

The value of lcm of \frac{5}{12} \ and\ \frac{6}{17} .

Formula Used:

LCM\ of\ fraction=\frac{ LCM \ of \ numerator}{HCF\ of\ denominator}      -------- formula no.01.

Solution:

As given- Fractions  \frac{5}{12} \ and\ \frac{6}{17} .

LCM of (5,6 )

Prime factorization of 5=5

Prime factorization of 6=2\times3

LCM(5,6) =2\times3\times5= 30

HCF of (12,17)

Prime factorization of 12= 2\times2\times3

Prime factorization of 17=17

HCF(12,17) = 1

Putting the value of  LCM(5,6)and HCF(12,17) in formula no.01.

LCM ( \frac{5}{12} ,\frac{6}{17} )=\frac{ LCM (5,6)}{HCF(12,17)}

                       =\frac{30}{1} =30

Thus, the value of LCM of \frac{5}{12} \ and\ \frac{6}{17} is 30.
