Given : (i) 12,28  , (ii) 20,30 , (iii) 8, 12, 18 (iv) 60, 72, 80  , (v) 15, 30, 75 (vi) 360, 480, 600

To find :  LCM using prime factorization

Solution:

LCM - Least Common Multiplier

12 = 2 * 2 * 3

28 = 2 * 2 * 7

LCM = 2 * 2 * 3 * 7  = 84

20 = 2 * 2 * 5

30 = 2 * 3 * 5

LCM = 2 * 2 * 3 * 5  = 60

8  = 2 * 2 * 2

12 = 2 * 2 * 3

18 = 2 * 3 * 3

LCM = 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 3  = 72

60 = 2 * 2 * 3 * 5

72 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 3

80 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 5

LCM = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 3 * 5  = 720

15 = 3 * 5

30 = 2 * 3 * 6

75 = 3 * 5 * 5

LCM = 2 * 3 * 5 * 5  = 150

360 , 480 , 600

360 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 3 * 5

480 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 5

600 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 5 * 5

LCM = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 3 * 5 * 5

= 7200
