TO FIND THE HCF OF 100 AND 88 WE NEED TO FIND THE FACTORS-

  • Factors for 88: 1, 2, 4, 8, 11, 22, 44, and 88.

  • Factors for 100: 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, and 100.

SO, THE HCF OF 88 AND 100 IS 4 AS IT DIVIDES BOTH OF THEM LEAVING NO REMAINDER.

TO FIND THE LCM, WE FIRST MULTIPLY THE NUMBERS AND THEN DIVIDE THEM BY THEIR HCF.

SO, IT GOES LIKE,

 \frac{88 \times 100}{4}

 =  \frac{8800}{4}

 = 2200

SO THE LCM OF 88 AND 100 IS 2200.

Therefore the HCF of 88 and 100 is 4 and LCM of 88 and 100 is 2200.

HOPE IT HELPS.

THANK YOU.

Step-by-step explanation:

LCM :

100=2×2×5×5.

88= 2×2×2×11.

HCF = 2×2

= 4

product of two numbers

= 100×88

= 8800

LCM × HCF

5×5×2×11. × 4

=550.

= 550×4

= 2200.
