As we know coin is also in a form of cylinder
Coin : d=2.5 ; r=2.5/2cm. 2.5/2x10= 25/2 ie 12.5 mm
h=3mm
Cylinder:R=3cm 3x10=30mm
H=5cm. 5x10=50mm

For finding no. of coins
Area of cylinder/ area of coin
Pie R^2H/ pie r^2 h
= R^2H/r^2h
=(30)^2x50/(12.5)^2x3
=900x 50/156.25x3
=300x50x100/15625
=1500000/15625
=96

Thus 96 coins of diameter 2.5cm & height 3mm are required to make a solid cylinder of radius 3cm & height 5 cm

Hope this will help you:)
