Hi friend,

We know that the least 6 digit number is 100000

=> Find square root of 100000

=> √100000 = 316.227766

=> So, to find the required answer, we need to take the next number of 316.227766.

=> That is 317.

=> find square of 317.

=> 317×317 = 100489

Therefore, 100489 is least 6 digit number which is a perfect square.

Hope it helps..

Answer:

The smallest number of 6 digits=100000=105

Now the square root of 105:

√105=100√10=316.23 (As √10=3.1623)

Now, to be the smallest number of six digits, the number must be greater than (316.232) and it's square root must be an integer.

Now the nearest integer to 316.23 that is greater than itself is 317.

So, the smallest 6 digits perfect square will be:

3172=100489
