Given : children to be arranged as 10, 20 and 40 in each row.

To find : least number of children

Solution:

We need to find  least number of children that can be arranged as 10, 20 and 40 in each row.

So we need to find LCM of 10 , 20 & 40

10 = 2 * 5

20 = 2 * 2 * 5

40 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 5

LCM = 2 * 2 * 2* 5

= 40

Hence Least number of students = 40 who can be arranged in 10 , 20 o 40 in each row
