first find the area of floor by length. ×breadth means16m×0.58m

length of the floor = 15m 17cm

                              =1517cm

breadth of the floor = 8m 32cm

                                = 832 cm

HCF of length and breadth of floor = side of a square tile

                                                          = 2 cm

area of floor = l * b = 1517 * 802 cm^2

area of square tile = a * a = 2*2 cm^2

number of tiles = area of floor/area of square tile

                         = 1517*832/2*2

                         =344864
