to find the least number that must be subtracted from 6200 to obtain a perfect square, we will have to complete the square root of 6200 by long division . method.

6200 \div 7  =  78 \times \ \frac{119}{7}

so the remainder is 119 and 119 is the least number that must be subtracted from 6200to get a perfect square .

now, we will subtracted 119 from 6200

6200--119=6084

square root of 6084 by long division

6084 \div 7 = 78\times \frac{0}{7}

 \sqrt{6084}  = 78
