Find the least number which when divided by 18 ,21 ,24 and 30 leaves the remainder 9 in each case.

First find LCM of 18, 21, 24 and30

Prime factorisation:

18 = 2× 3× 3

21= 3 × 7

24= 2× 2× 2× 3

30= 2× 3× 5

LCM= 3× 3× 2× 2× 2× 5× 7= 2520

Remainder= 9, so number will be = 2520+ 9= 2529
