3
take x square(2)common out there .
x^2(x+3)=0
x+3=0×x^2
this implies that
x+3=0
and x=-3
x=-3 will be the least value of given polynomial.hope it will you !

ashutosh395: least vaule will be 4
ashutosh395: differentiate it put the value of x in polynomial
ashutosh395: your answer is wrong
TheLostMonk: who asked here to differentiate it? no one ask ,they just ask find the value of k.i'mst using basic method to solve polynomial .
TheLostMonk: otherwise by differentiation ,value of x would be -1.
TheLostMonk: d/dx(x^3+3x^2)=3d/dxx^2+6d/dxx =6x+6=0. this implies that 6x=-6 and x=-6/6=-1. so the value of x is -1
TheLostMonk: sorry it's value would be 4 by differentiation. by using the formula d/dx(u+v)=ud/dxv+vd/dxu....then the least value would be 4.
TheLostMonk: but you simply just asked here find the value of polynomial.
