as height of equilateral triangle divide it into two right angled triangle

let the height of triangle is AD and length of side is AB.Each angle of equilateral triangle is of 60 degree. and height made 90 .

Then

AB/AD=cosec 60

AB/4×3½=2/3½

AB=2/3½×4×3½

AB=8

side/ length of triangle is 8cm

perimeter of equilateral triangle=3×side

=3×8

=24 cm
