Let the values of length and breadth be 5x and 2x respectively. (As, to the ratio 5 : 2)

Perimeter formula = 2 ( l + b )

                               = > 2 ( 5x + 2x )

   

                               = > 2 * 7x (Here, " * " sign indicates multiplication)

                             

                               = > 14x

Cost per metre =  Rs. 12.5

 And total cost =  Rs. 2500

Then, 12.5 * 14x = 2500

           = > 14x = 2500/12.5

           = > x =200/14 = 14.29 (approx.)

Length = 5 x 14.29 =71.45 m

Breadth = 2 x 14.29 =28.58 m
