The radius is the hypotenuse.

The distance between centre and chord is the height.

The base is the half of the chord.

Let the base be b.

$b^2+3^2=5^2$[By Pythagoras theorem]

$b^2=25-9$

$b^2=16$

$b=4$

Length of chord is double and is 4*2=8.

The answer is 8.
