You get the answer 14 by you dividing 44 by pi (the formula for the circumferance of a circle is diameter x pi, so just do the opposite)

Given that circumference of a circle is 44 cm.

 = > 2\pi r = 44

 = > 2 * \frac{22}{7} * r = 44

 = > \frac{44}{7} * r = 44

= > 44r = 44 * 7

= > 44r = 308

= > r = 308/44

= > r = 7.

We know that Diameter = 2r

= > 2 * 7

= > 14cm.

Therefore, the length of a diameter = 14cm.

Hope this helps!
