Area of rectangle is length multiplied by width that is

A=l×w

Now substitute l=9 and A=54, we get

54=9×w

⇒w=

9

54

⇒w=6 cm

Perimeter of rectangle is P=2l+2b that is

P=2(9)+2(6)

=18+12

=30cm
