Area given=204 sq m

Breadth=12m

Area of a rectangle=length*breadth

⇒204 sq m=length*12m

⇒204 sq m/12m=length

⇒17m=length

The length is 17 m

Given :-

  • The Breadth of Park = 12 m

  • Area of Park = 204 sq m

  • Length of Park = x m

To find :-

  • Value of length of park

Formula :-

\boxed{\rm{\implies \; Area = Length \times Breadth }}

Solution :-

Using the formula :-

{\rm{\implies \; 204 = x \times 12 }}

{\rm{\implies \;\dfrac{ 204}{12} = x }}

{\rm{\implies \; x = \dfrac{\not{204}}{\not{12}}= 17 }}

So the length is 17 m

Verification :-

{\rm{\implies \; Area = length \times breadth }}

{\rm{\implies \;  Area = 17 \times 12 }}

{\rm{\implies \; 204 = 17 \times 12 }}

Hence verified
