Find the length of diagonal of a quadrilateral, if the area of the quadrilateral is 70 sq cm and the perpendiculars to the diagonal from the opposite vertices are of length 6 cm and 8 cm.

Length = 8 cm

Breadth = 6 cm

Applying pythagoras theoram :

                                     AC^2 = AB^2+BC^2

                                      AC^2  = (6)^2+(8)^2

                                       AC^2 = 36+64          

                                       AC^2 = 100

                                        AC = Square root (100)

                                         AC =  10 cm

Hence, the diagonal of a quadrilateral is 10 cm.
