We know that adjacent sides and corresponding diagonal make a right triangle

Using Pythagoras theorem

H²=P²+B²

H²=12²+16²

H²=144+256

H²=400

H=√400

H=20cm

Therefore diagonal is of 20cm

Answer:

20cm

Step-by-step explanation:

x^{2} =a^{2} +b^{2}\\x^{2} =12^{2} +16^{2} \\x^{2} =\sqrt{400}\\x=20 cm
