Answer:

let equal side to be x

therefore the other equal side is also x

(A.T.Q)

perimeter of triangle =sum of all sides

30cm=x+x+8cm

30cm=2x+8cm

30cm-8cm=2x

22cm=2x

22/2=x

11cm=x

therefore the length of equal side of triangle=x=11cm

hope it helps you

Answer:

11 cm

Given:

Perimeter=30 cm

And Unequal sides=8 cm

To find:

Equal sides of the isosceles triangle

Solution:-

Let the equal sides be x {as two sides of isosceles triangle are equal}

We know that

Perimeter of isosceles triangle=Sum of all sides

30=AB+BC+CA

30=8+x+x

30-8=2x

22=2x

11=x

•x=11 cm

----------

Verification

Perimeter=AB+BC+CA

=8+11+11

=30 cm
