BF = 4 , BE = 2

To Find : Length of CE

Solution:

in ΔABE

DF ||  AE

Using BPT  ( Thales theorem )

=> AD/DB  = EF/BF

=> AD/DB = 2/4

=> AD/DB = 1/2

in ΔABC

DE ||  AC

AD/DB = CE/BE

=> 1/2  = CE/( BF + FE)

=> 1/2 = CE/ ( 4 + 2)

=> 1/2 = CE/6

=> CE =  3

Length of CE = 3
