Answer :-

 \: \large{\underline{\underline{\sf{Firstly,\; Let's\; Understand\; The\; Concept\; :-}}}}

Here the concept of Perimeter of Rectangle has been used. We need to find the length of the tape to be used around 6 switch boards. So, firstly we will find the perimeter of one switch board. Then we will multiply it with 6 to get our answer.

Formula Used :-

 \: \\ \large{\boxed{\sf{Perimeter\; of \; Rectangle_{(switch\:board)} \; = \; \bf{2\:\times\:(Length, \: L\: + \: Breadth, \: B)}}}}

 \: \\ \large{\boxed{\sf{Length\; of \; Tape\; Required \; = \; \bf{6 \; \times \; Perimeter \; of \; Rectangle_{(switch\:board)}}}}}

Solution :-

Given,

» Dimensions of the switch board = 8 inches to 3 inches

» Number of switch boards = 6

~ For the Perimeter of Each Board :-

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\longrightarrow \:\;\; Perimeter\; of \; Rectangle_{(switch\:board)} \; = \; \bf{2\:\times\:(Length, \: L\: + \: Breadth, \: B)}}}

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\longrightarrow \:\;\; Perimeter\; of \; Rectangle_{(switch\:board)} \; = \; \bf{2\:\times\:(8 \: inches \: + \: 3 \: inches)}}}

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\longrightarrow \:\;\; Perimeter\; of \; Rectangle_{(switch\:board)} \; = \; \bf{2\:\times\:(11 \; inches) \: \: = \: \: \underline{\underline{22 \;\; inches}}}}}

 \: \\ \large{\boxed{\tt{Perimeter\;\:of\:\;each\:\;switch\:\;board\:\;= \; \bf{22\;\; inches}}}}

~ For the Length of Marking Tape Required :-

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\Longrightarrow \; \; \; Length\; of \; Tape\; Required \; = \; \bf{6 \; \times \; Perimeter \; of \; Rectangle_{(switch\:board)}}}}

 \: \\ \qquad \large{\sf{:\Longrightarrow \; \; \; Length\; of \; Tape\; Required \; = \; \bf{6 \; \times \; 22 \; inches \: \: = \: \: \underline{\underline{132 \;\; inches}}}}}

 \: \\ \large{\underline{\underline{\rm{\leadsto\;\;\; Thus, \; length\; of \; marking\; tape\; required\;is\; \;\boxed{\bf{132 \;\; inches}}}}}}

Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

Area of Circle = πr²

Area of Square = (Side)²

Area of Triangle = ½ × Base × Height

Area of Parallelogram = Base × Height

Perimeter of Square = 4 × Side

Perimeter of Circle = 2πr

Given,

Dimensions of each switchboard 8 inches by 3 inches.

There are 6 such switchboards.

To find,

Length of tape required to use around them.

Solution :

Firstly finding perimeter of each switchboard :

⇒ Perimeter = 2(l + b)

⇒ Perimeter of each switchboard = 2(8 + 3)

⇒ Perimeter of each switchboard = 2 * 11

Perimeter of each switchboard = 22 inches.

Now there are 6 such switchboards.

And, length of tap required = Perimeter of 6 switchboards.

⇒ Length of tap required = 22 * 6

Length of tap required = 132 inches.

Therefore,

Length of tap required to use around them = 132 inches.
