We have,

  • Perimeter(P) = 600m
  • Breadth(b) = 90m
  • Length(l) = ?

We know that,

  • Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)
  • 600/2 = l + 90
  • 300 = l + 90
  • l = 300 - 90
  • l = 210

∴ Length = 210m

Given Information :-

Find the length of rectangular playground having perimeter 600 m and the breadth 90 metre.

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 600 m
  • Breadth of rectangle = 90m
  • Length of rectangle = ?

Solution :-

  • Let the length = L

Using Formula :-

  • Perimeter of rectangle is twice the sum of its length and breadth.
  • Mathematical can be written as :

\dashrightarrow{ \sf{Perimeter = 2 (l + b)}}

Where,

  • L = Length of rectangle
  • B = Breadth of rectangle

Substituting the given values in the above equation, we get :

→ 600 = 2(l +90)

→ 600 = 2l + 180

→ 600 - 180 = 2l

→ 420 = 2l

→ 420/2 = l

210 = l

Hence,

  • Length of rectangle is 210m.

Check :-

• Put the value of L in formula.

→ Perimeter = 2(l + b)

→ 600 = 2 ( 210 + 90 )

→ 600 = 420 + 180

→ 600 = 600

Thus, Both sides are equal / same.

Hence, Solution is checked !
