as we know that tangent is perpendicular to its radius and make a 90degree angle
let the lenght of the tangent is AB
and point from the cente is Ac
and radius BC
then by using pythagoras theorem (AC)square=(AB)square+(BC)square
then putting the values in this formulae
(15)square=(AB)square+(9)square
by solving this equation we get
(AB) square=(15)square -(9)square
on solving this we get answer
(AB)square = (15 + 9)( 15 - 9)
=(24)(6)
=144
(AB)square=√144
then,
AB=12cm ans.
