Find the length of the altitude of an equilateral triangle of side 5‚àö3cm

By Pythagoras theorem,


5^2 = height^2 + (5/2)^2


25 = height +  \frac{25}{4}


25 -  \frac{25}{4} height^2


 \frac{100 - 25}{4} = height²


 \frac{75}{4} = height²


 \sqrt{ \frac{75}{4} } = height
