area of triangle=1/2×base×hieght
220m=1/2×base ×11
220×2/11=base
40cm=base

given the altitude of the triangle is 11m

area of the triangle=220m²

→1/2×b×h=220m²

→1/2×b×11=220m²

→b×5.5=220m²

→b=220/5.5

→b=40m

verification:-

area of the triangle=1/2×b×h

=1/2×40×11

=20×11

=220m²

hence verified

thus the base of the triangle is 40m
