Answer:

45*(5/18)=12.5 =>(130+x)/12.5=30 =>(130+x)=375 =>x=375-130 =>x=245 Hence answer is 245m.

Given : a train 140 m long travelling at 54 kmph can cross a bridge  in 30 seconds.

To Find :  length of the bridge

Solution:

Speed of train = 54 km /hr

1 km = 1000 m

1 hr = 3600 sec

Speed of train in m/s  = 54 * 1000 / 3600

= 15 m/s

Distance = Speed * time

=> Distance covered in 30 secs = 15 * 30  = 450 m

Length of train = 140 m

Length of bridge = 450-140 = 310 m

Length of bridge = 310 m
