Find the length of the conductor which is moving with a speed of 10m/s in the direction perpendicular to the magnetic field of induction 0.5T if it inducesan emf of 5V between the ends of the conductor.

using formula

induced emf = Blvsin\theta

where, \theta is angle made between velocity of conductor and magnetic field.

here, B = 0.5T , induced emf = 5 volts and velocity of conductor, v = 10 m/s

so, 5 = 0.5 × l × 10 sin90°

l = 1m

hence, length of conductor is 1m

Answer:

1m

Explanation:

Find the length of the conductor which is moving with a speed of 10m/s in the direction perpendicular to the magnetic field of induction 0.5T if it inducesan emf of 5V between the ends of the conductor.

using formula

induced emf = Blvsin\thetaθ

where, \thetaθ is angle made between velocity of conductor and magnetic field.

here, B = 0.5T , induced emf = 5 volts and velocity of conductor, v = 10 m/s

so, 5 = 0.5 × l × 10 sin90°

l = 1m

hence, length of conductor is 1m
