In rectangle ABCD,
AB=15cm
BC=8cm
Diagonal AC=?
Now,in right triangle ABC,
By Pythagoras theorem,
AC sq = AB sq+BC sq
AC sq = 15 sq+8sq
AC sq =225+64
AC sq=289
AC =√289
=17cm
Therefore,diagonal AC =17cm.

Answer:

here is your answer

Step-by-step explanation:

i rectangle ABCD

AB= 15cm

BC= 8cm

Diagonal= ?

now, in the right triangle ABC,

by phythagores theorem

AC²= AB sq+BC sq

AC sq = 15sq +8sq

AC sq= 225+64

AC sq=289

AC= √289

=17 cm

therefore, diagonal AC= 17 cm
