Step-by-step explanation:

Diagonal of rectangle =

 \sqrt{l {}^{2} +  {b}^{2}  }

 =  \sqrt{ {40}^{2} +  {9}^{2} }

 =  \sqrt{1681}  = 41

So, the diagonal is 41 cm.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

=2(40+9)

[2×49 = 98 cm
