ANSWER:

  • Length of the diagonal is 17cm.

GIVEN:

  • Length of the rectangle = 15cm.
  • Breadth of the rectangle = 8cm.

TO FIND:

  • Diagonal of the rectangle?

SOLUTION:

Let the diagonal be x

FORMULAE TO FIND:

Diagonal = √length² - Breadth²

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:

Diagonal = √15² + 8²

Diagonal = √225 + 64

Diagonal = √225 + √64

Diagonal = √289

Diagonal = 17

Hence , The length of the diagonal is 17cm .

To find,

  • The length of the diagonal of a rectangle

-----------------------------------------------------✿-----------------------------------------------------

Given:-

  • sides of rectangle = 15cm and 8cm

-----------------------------------------------------✿-----------------------------------------------------

Let:-

  • H = hypotenuse
  • B = Base
  • P = perpendicular

-----------------------------------------------------✿---------------------------------------------------

Answer:-

In right-angled triangle DAB

\rm H^{2} =B^{2} +P^{2}

\rm DB^{2} =AB^{2} +AD^{2}

\rm DB^{2} =(15^{2})+(8^{2})

\rm DB^{2} =225+64\\\rm DB^{2} =289\\\rm DB^{2} = (17^{2})\\

DB = 17cm

AC = 17cm
