let us assume a rectangle ABCD.
AC is the diagonal of the rectangle.
length= 7cm
breadth=24cm
By pythagoras theorem:-
(AC)^2=(AB)^2 + (BC)^2
= (7)^2 + (24)^2
= (49) +(576)
(AC)^2 = 625
(AC) = Square root of 625
therefore AC = 25
Therefore the length of the diagonal is 25cm.
AC is the diagonal of the rectangle.
length= 7cm
breadth=24cm
By pythagoras theorem:-
(AC)^2=(AB)^2 + (BC)^2
= (7)^2 + (24)^2
= (49) +(576)
(AC)^2 = 625
(AC) = Square root of 625
therefore AC = 25
Therefore the length of the diagonal is 25cm.
