Pythagoras theorem

 {Hypotenuse}^{2}  =  {perpendicular}^{2}  +  {base}^{2}

Hypotenuse here is diagonal and base is breadth and perpendicular is length

so length of diagonal is

d =  \sqrt{ {a}^{2} +  {b}^{2}  }

and d represent diagonal
