Find the length of the diagonals of a rectangle whose sides are 4cm and 3cm

Length = 4 cm
Width = 3 cm
Diagonal =  \sqrt{ Length^{2}+ Width^{2}  }
Diagonal = root 4^2 + 3^2
               = root 16 + 9
               = root 25
               = 5 cm

Now we know that Rectangle can be divided into two right angled triangles let us take one of the triangles as ABC and now
Apply Pythagoras theorem
(AC)^2=(AB)^2+(BC)^2
AC=_/25=5cm

Ans:-Diagonals of a rectangle are 5cm (diagonals of a rectangle are equal.
