Find the length of the height of an equilateral triangle of side 24cm

Use formula ,

area of equilatral triangle = root3/4 (side length )^2

Side length is 24 cm

Now ,

Area of equilatral triangle = √3/4 (24)^2

= √3/4 x 24 x 24

= 144√3 cm^2

We also know ,

area of triangle = 1/2 height x base

144root3 = 1/2 x height x 24

12 root3 = height

Hence ,

height = 12root3 cm

= 12 x 1.73 cm

= 20.76 cm
