Given that that
side a= 9 cm
side b= 12 cm
hypotenuse = x
x² = a² + b²
so we have
9²+12²=x²
81+144=x²
225=x²
x= 15 cm

(9)² + (12)² = (hypotenuse)²

81 + 144 = (hypotenuse)²

225 = (hypotenuse)²

√225 = hypotenuse

15 = hypotenuse
