Find the length of the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle if remaining sides are 9 cm and 12 cm. Solve the following example.

by using pythogoras theorem we get

9x9 + 12x12 = hypotenuse squared
81 +144 = hypot. squared
 \sqrt{225}  gives \: hypotenuse
so 15 cm is the hypotenuse

Perpendicular,P = 9cm
Base, B= 12cm
Hypotenuse,H = √(9^2+12^2)
H = √(81 + 144)
H = √225
H = 15cm
