Using Pythagoras Theorem,

(AC)^2 = (AB)^2+(BC)^2

(AC)^2 = (5)^2+(12)^2

(AC)^2 = 25+144

(AC)^2 = 169

AC = √169

AC = 13cm

Base = 5cm

Height = 12cm

By Pythagoras Theorem

Hypotenuse^2=Base^2+Height^2

Hypotenuse^2=(5)^2+(12)^2

Hypotenuse^2=25+144

Hypotenuse^2=169

Hypotenuse=169/13

Hypotenuse=13

Therefore,the length of hypotenuse is 13cm
