Find the length of the longest rod in a room 12x long ,9m broad,8m height.

Answer:

dimension of the room is 12m x 9m x 8m

length of longest rod should be equals to diagonal of the room..

so it's diagonal is

 \sqrt{ {l}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  +  {h}^{2} }

put the values...

we get diagonal = √289 = 17m

so the longest rod is 17m long
