l=1m

b=0.5m

h=0.75m

length of the longest road that can be fitted into the cuboid=diagonal of the cubic

=

 \sqrt{l {}^{2} + b {}^{2} + l {}^{2}   }

=

 \sqrt{1 {}^{2}  + .5 {}^{2} + .75  { }^{2}   }  =  \sqrt{1 + .25 + .5625  }  =    \sqrt{1.8125} = 1.34 m

hence diagonal=1.34 m
