Cuboidal : A figure which is surrounded by six rectangular surfaces is called cuboid.
SOLUTION :
Given:
Length of a room(l) = 10 m
Breadth of a room(b) = 10 m
Height of a room(h) = 10 m
The length of the longest rod is the diagonal of the room.
So, We have to find the diagonal of the cuboid.
Diagonal of a cuboid = √ (l)² + (b)² + (h)²
Diagonal of a cuboid = √ (10)² + (10)² + (10
Diagonal of a cuboid = √ 100 + 100 + 100
√ 300 = 1 7 .32 * 17.32 = 300 ( estimated as 300 is not a perfect square )
Hence , The length of the longest rod can be put in a room is 17 .32 m
