Find the length of the longest tape which can exactly measure the

dimensions of the room that has length 13.60 m, Breadth 12.40 m

and height 5.60 m​

in order to calculate the longest tape we need to calculate the HCF of 13.6 metre ,12.4 m and 5.6 m .

so, 136/10 = 1/10 *(2*2*2 *17 ) .......(1)

124/10= 1/10*( 2 *2*31)......( 2)

56/ 10 = 1/10 *(2*2*2*7)......(3)

taking out common factors from( 1 ), (2) & (3) we get

HCF = 2*2/1) = 0.4
