Answer:

side of square = √area

= √441 = 21m

a) pythagoras theorem:

AC²=AB²+BC²

AC²=6²+8²

AC²=36+64

AC=√100=10cm

b) AB² = AC²-BC²

AB=√13²-5²

AB=√169-25

AB=√144

AB=12cm

Hope you found it helpful!

Answer:

(a)21m

(b)10cm

(c)12cm

Step-by-step explanation:

(a)Area of square =441m^2

Length of side of square=√441=21m

In right angled triangle,

AB is the height.

BC is the base.

AC is the hypotenuse.

(b)AB=6cm

BC=8cm

Or,AC=√AB^2+BC^2=√6^2+8^2=√36+64=√100=10cm

(c)AC=13cm

BC=5cm

AB=√AC^2-BC^2=√13^2-5^2=√169-25=√144=12cm
