Given
Length of photo =35cm
Breadth of photo=25cm

parametre of rectangle=2×(length+breadth)
On putting the value

parametre=2(35+25)
=2×60
=120cm
hence 120cm of wooden strip is required
for making frame

Now 1cm of strip=50 paise
then,
120cm of strip=120×50paise
=6000 paise
=60 rupee

Given :

a photograph of length 35 cm and breadth of 25 cm

To Find :

Find the length of the wooden strip required

find the cost of framing

Solution:

Length of wooden strip = 35 cm

Breadth of strip = 25 cm

Perimeter of wooden strip = 2(l+b)=2(35+25)=120 cm

The length of wooden strip is Rs.120 cm

Cost of 1 cm strip = 50 paisa

Cost of 120 cm strip = 50 \times 120 = 6000 paisa

100 paisa = Re.1

6000 paisa = \frac{6000}{100}=Rs.60

Hence The cost of framing is Rs.60
