hi mates this is ur answer...

In rectangle ABCD,

Given, sides of a rectangle ABCD are 5cm and 12cm.

In ΔABC using Pythagoras theorem,

(AC)2 =(AB)2 + (BC)2

(AC)2 = 144 + 25

(AC)2 = 169

AC = √169

AC = 13cm

∴ Length of the diagonal AC is 13cm.

hope this helps u...

Answer:

13

Step-by-step explanation:

by Pythagoras theorem, in triangle ACD,angle C =90°

(AD)²=(AC)²+(CD)²

(AD)²=(5)²+(12)²

=25+144

=169

by squaring both sides,

AD=✓169

AD=13
