\textbf{Answer :}

The given line is

12x - 5y + 6 = 0 ...(i)

So, the perpendicular distance of the line (i) from the point (3, - 2) be

= {(12 × 3) - 5 × (- 2) + 6}/√{12² + (- 5)²} units

= (36 + 10 + 6)/√(144 + 25) units

= 52/√169 units

= 52/13 units

= 4 units
