CP = 5865.20×(100/86)
CP = 6820
loss = CP-SP
loss = 6820-5865.20 = 954.8

Let the cost price be Rs a

Selling price = Cost price - Loss

=> 5865.2 = a - 14a/100

=> 5865.2 = 86a/100

=> 586520 = 86a

=> a = 6820

Cost price = Rs 6820

Loss = 14 % of 6820

= 14 × 6820 /100

= 7 × 682 / 5

= 4774 / 5

= 954.8

Loss = Rs 954.8
