Given: 10 X CP = 8 X SP (from  the question write like this)

Cross multiplying we get : SP/CP = 10/8

Since Numerator SP is more than denominator CP, we conclude that the transaction is profitable.

Hence profit = SP-CP which is 10-8= 2

Profit Percentage = Profit X 100/CP

Ie. 2X100/8 = 25%
