magnetic force on a current carrying wire place in uniform magnetic field if the wire is oriented perpendicular to magnetic field can be given by:-

F = ILB

let Φ be the angle between direction of current and magnetic field, then force acting on the current carrying wire is

F = ILB SINΦ (at any angle)

If the wire is oriented perpendicular to the magnetic field then θ=90°
F=ILBsin90
F=ILB [∵ sin90°=1]
