Answer:

Solution:

We know sum of the supplementary angles =180°

1) Let one of the angle of supplementary angle = x

Then other angle = (180° - x)

Since magnitude of the angle which is equal to its supplementary angle ⇒ x = (180° - x) ⇒ 2x = 180° ⇒ x = 90°

∴ Measure of the angle which is equal to its supplement = 90°.

2) Let one of the angle of supplementary angle = x

Then other angle = (180° - x)

Since, measure of the angle which is twice its supplementary angle ⇒ x = 2(180° - x) ⇒ x = 360° - 2x ⇒ 3x = 360° ⇒ x = 120°

∴ Measure of the angle which is twice its supplementary angle =120°.

3) Let one of the angle of supplementary angle = x Then other angle = (180° - x)

Since, measure of the angle which is less than its supplementary angle by 10° ⇒ x = (180° - x) - 10° ⇒ x = 170° - x ⇒ 2x = 170° ⇒ x = 85°

∴ Measure of the angle which is less than its supplement by 10° = 85°
