Number of moles= given mass/molar mass......(i)
It is given that the number of moles are 0.5
And for molar mass we will add the mass of all atoms
=>Mass of C=12+Mass of hydrogen=1
Here there are 4 hydrogen atoms hence mass of hydrogen =4
Now add them which will give us the MOLAR MASS=12+4=16
Therefore substituting the value in (i) we will get
.5*16=8g.......which is the answer
